2 Week Dr Check Up

Jaeden had his 2 week dr check up this past Friday and everything went great! He now weighs 7 lbs 14 oz and is 19 1/2 in tall! He is already growing so fast!!

Our beautiful little boy was born on March 4, 2012 at 4:58 am. He came early at 35 weeks, weighing 6 lbs 6 oz! I can't imagine how big he would have been if he had gone full term! I am honestly not sure if I would have been able to have a natural birth if he would have gone full term. You really cant understand giving birth until you have done so yourself. There are no words to describe it. 

Since baby Jeaden was born early, they took him to the NICU right after he was born. They were worried he wasnt getting enough oxygen because he was flaring his nostrils, which could have meant something was wrong.

I only got to hold him for what felt like a few seconds before they took him. It broke my heart, but it was for his safety.

Initially they said he would be there for a max of 4 hours, as long as everything was okay. He ended up staying in there for around 6 hours and once he finally was able to leave the NICU, I still wasnt able to hold him because they wanted him to go to the nursery before he was able to come to the room. 

In the end, he ended up being 100% healthy and fine.

We were finally able to have him. It felt so good to finally get to hold him!
